OUR STORY
Not Only a Family Farm Growing Grapes and Making Wines in South Australia...
DOG LAKE VINEYARDS is located at a "rock-throw" distance from Langhorne Creek. The vineyard is beautifully contoured by the Mosquito Creek, which used to be the pathway to the Alexandrina Lake for the early settlers. You can find a couple of "Canoe Trees" along the creek among the old red gums.

The farm is being developed to operate a nursery business that produces seeds and plants for biomass crops for use in renewable fuels and sustainable Materials and we are growing veggies for the FRESH BASKET project as well.

Dog Lake (the lake) is located at the end of the road. It is a small lake within Alexandrina Lake, where bird and game reserves were established since early times.

Luis is our "Bluey", he runs around the vines chasing roos and rabbits...He is not the contributor for DOG LAKE's name, the lake is....but he takes the credits!

LUIS

SUSTAINABLE VITICULTURE
At DOG LAKE we pay special attention to vine health by using biological-rich compounds that produce great-quality grapes too. Supplying organic fertilisers seeks healthy soils that can hold moisture better and give a balanced environment to the vines to produce good quality grapes.

The area itself is blessed by the influence of Alexandrina Lake. The natural breeze and cool nights play a big role while the sun powers the fruit to fully ripen with ease.

Our efforts for a sustainable practice are part of our commitment to a long-term relationship with the land and the natural environment.
Mission and Vision

Mission
We are part of a movement to change the current practices in farming and the use of materials that damage our planet. DOG LAKE's sponsors work in sustainability and renewable fuels to offer alternatives to farmland and production systems. Biomass crops such as agave, industrial hemp, sorghum, etc. are combined and developed for alternative farming systems and innovative uses for a promising future of the coming generations.
Vision
A cleaner and safer world through the supply of food and energy produced in a sustainable way...
